Living alone in the Oregon wilderness, former chef Robin "Rob" Feld makes a living by foraging for truffles with the help of his beloved pig. When the pig is kidnapped, Rob is forced to confront his past and return to Portland, where he partners with young Amir to track down the culprits and retrieve his prized companion. Along the way, they encounter various characters including a former acquaintance turned underground fight club host and a wealthy restaurateur who shares a complicated history with Rob. Through their journey, Rob must face up to his past mistakes and reconcile his love for his pig with the harsh realities of life.
