In the backwaters of North Bengal, a young boy named Phoring struggles to find his place in a town left reeling from the closure of its only factory. With the voices in his head his only solace, Phoring's life takes a dramatic turn when a new teacher, Doel, arrives in town. She opens his eyes to a world beyond his wildest dreams, but just as he starts to believe in himself, she disappears without a trace. Determined to find her, Phoring embarks on a journey to Kolkata, facing countless challenges along the way. Will he be able to find Doel and make sense of the chaos that surrounds him?
