In the heart of Prague, two families, the Sebkovis and the Krausovis, come together to celebrate Christmas in their cozy dens. However, the holiday cheer is tempered by generational clashes and political tensions. The teenage kids, Michal and Jindřiška, struggle to navigate their relationships with their fathers, who are fiercely opinionated and often at odds. As the families navigate their differences, they are suddenly confronted with the harsh reality of the Soviet invasion of Prague in 1968. Will their cosy dens be able to withstand the shockwaves of this historic event, or will they crumble under the pressure?
