In a middle-class apartment building in Rome, three families live on different floors, each with their own set of struggles and secrets. As their lives intertwine over the course of a decade, they face universal moral dilemmas that have a profound impact on their relationships and their sense of self. A young couple suspects their neighbor of abusing their child, a mother tries to keep her family together while her husband is always away, and a retired judge navigates her own personal demons.
