Other People's Money

Other People's Money is a comedy film about a ruthless corporate raider named Lawrence Garfield (Danny DeVito) who sets his sights on taking over a small, family-owned company, New England Wire & Cable, run by Andrew Jorgenson (Gregory Peck). Garfield is known for his ability to buy companies and sell off their assets for a profit, but he meets his match in Jorgenson's stepdaughter Kate (Penelope Ann Miller), a smart and beautiful lawyer who is determined to stop him. Despite their initial animosity, Garfield and Kate find themselves attracted to each other as they engage in a series of battles over the fate of the company. The film features a talented cast, including Dean Jones and Piper Laurie, and was directed by Norman Jewison.
