Once Upon a Time in High School

In 1978 South Korea, a young man named Hyun-soo transfers to a notorious high school known for its harsh corporal punishment and power struggles between school gangs. After falling in love with a girl named Eun-joo, he becomes embroiled in a love triangle with his friend Woo-sik, leading to a series of violent conflicts with the school's bullies. Inspired by his childhood hero Bruce Lee, Hyun-soo trains himself in Jeet Kune Do and uses it to defend himself and his friends against the school's brutal atmosphere. Eventually, Hyun-soo is expelled and sent to a public school, where he reconciles with his father and finds a new sense of purpose.
