In 1969, a young professor named Yun Suk-young travels to a rural village to escape the political turmoil in the city. There, he meets Seo Jung-in, the beautiful custodian of the village library, and they develop a romantic connection. But their blossoming relationship is threatened by dark secrets from Jung-in's past, which are tied to the village's history and the political upheaval of the time. As Suk-young tries to win Jung-in's heart, they must navigate the dangerous currents of their time and confront the secrets that could tear them apart.
