In the 1830s, a young woman named Ellen Hutter (Lily-Rose Depp) moves to the countryside with her husband Thomas (Nicholas Hoult) to start a new life. However, their peaceful existence is disrupted by the arrival of a mysterious and eerie presence - Count Orlok (Bill Skarsgård), a vampire with a dark and sinister power. As Ellen becomes increasingly obsessed with Orlok, she begins to experience strange and terrifying occurrences that threaten to destroy everything she holds dear. Meanwhile, Friedrich Harding (Aaron Taylor-Johnson), a young man who is also smitten with Ellen, finds himself caught in the middle of their dangerous relationship. As fear and paranoia spread throughout the town, it becomes clear that only one person can stop the horrific fate that looms over them all - Professor Albin Eberhart Von Franz (Willem Dafoe), an esteemed scholar who has dedicated his life to understanding and combating the evil forces that lurk in the shadows. But will he be able to uncover the truth behind Orlok's malevolent power before it's too late?
