National Security

In 1985, Kim Jong-tae, a prominent activist against the military dictatorship in South Korea, is arrested and taken to a notorious interrogation facility. For 22 days, he is subjected to brutal torture and abuse by interrogators determined to extract a confession from him. Despite the unimaginable pain and suffering, Jong-tae refuses to give in, even when faced with the possibility of never seeing his wife again. Based on a true story, this powerful drama sheds light on the dark history of political oppression in South Korea.
