In a gritty, working-class neighborhood in Prague,s a burly, middle-aged man named Vandam struggles to come to terms with a rapidly changing world. As he trains tirelessly in his basement gym, earning him the nickname "Van Damme," he becomes embroiled in a battle to save his community from the threat of gentrification. With the help of his loyal friends and a fiery barmaid named Lucka, Vandam takes on a powerful real estate developer in a fight for the soul of his neighborhood.
