My Son, My Son, What Have Ye Done

A detective is called to the scene of a crime, where an old woman has been killed with a samurai sword. The main suspect is her son, Brad, who has barricaded himself in his house, claiming to have taken two hostages. As the police piece together the events leading up to the murder, they discover that Brad has been experiencing strange and mystical occurrences, which he believes have driven him to commit the crime. Through flashbacks, we see glimpses of Brad's life, including his trip to Peru, his relationship with his mother, and his involvement in a Greek tragedy play.
