Mutant Chronicles

In the year 2707, a post-apocalyptic world is ravaged by mutated humans created by an ancient machine. A group of soldiers, led by Sergeant John Mitchell "Mitch" Hunter, must destroy the machine in a suicide mission to save humanity. They battle through mutants and face partial transformation, but Mitch, the last survivor, successfully activates the ancient device, blasting the machine into space. Dying and partially mutated, Brother Samuel tells Mitch to "have faith" before he jumps from the rocket and lands in an underground lake. Grievously wounded and partially mutated, Mitch unsuccessfully attempts to light a final crooked cigarette as the rocket heads to Mars, leaving the fate of humanity uncertain.
