In the heart of Tokyo, a serial killer wearing a grotesque frog costume is terrorizing the city, leaving a trail of brutal murders in his wake. Detective Hisashi Sawamura, a recently divorced and disillusioned cop, is tasked with bringing the killer to justice. But as he delves deeper into the case, he discovers a shocking connection between the murders and his own family.
