In the movie "Moreno and the Silence," a young woman's desperate phone call to the police sets off a race against time for Detective Eva Moreno and her team. Despite their efforts, they arrive too late to save the woman, but their investigation leads them to a secluded religious community that seems more interested in protecting its own secrets than cooperating with the authorities.
