In a world where technology has taken over, a quirky family must save humanity from an apocalyptic robot uprising. Katie Mitchell, an aspiring filmmaker with a passion for creativity clashes with her nature-obsessed and technophobic father Rick. When Katie's acceptance into film school is threatened by her father's accidental destruction of her laptop, he decides to take the family on a cross-country road trip to her college as one last bonding experience.
