In the futuristic city of Metropolis, humans and robots coexist in a society divided by class and prejudice. A powerful and wealthy citizen named Duke Red has completed a massive skyscraper called the Ziggurat, which he claims will allow humans to extend their power across the planet. When a rogue scientist named Dr. Laughton is hired by Duke Red to create a highly advanced android, a series of events sets off a chain reaction of chaos and destruction. A young detective named Kenichi and his uncle Shunsaku must navigate the dangerous world of Metropolis to uncover the truth behind Tima, the mysterious android at the center of it all. As they delve deeper into the conspiracy, they discover that Tima may hold the key to the city's fate and the future of humanity. With the fate of Metropolis at stake, Kenichi and Shunsaku must confront the powerful forces that seek to control Tima and the city.
