Mayhem

Mayhem is a 2017 action-horror-comedy film that takes place in a corporate law building where a dangerous virus, known as ID-7, has been discovered. The virus causes people to lose control of their inhibitions and act out their darkest impulses, resulting in chaos and violence throughout the building. The film follows the story of Derek Cho, a lawyer who has just been fired from his job at Towers and Smythe Consulting (TSC) after being scapegoated for a botched legal case. As he tries to leave the building, he discovers that it has been put under quarantine due to the virus outbreak. Derek teams up with Melanie Cross, a client who was denied a loan extension by Derek's former boss, Kara Powell. Together, they fight their way through the building, using weapons and cunning to overcome infected security guards and executives as they make their way to the top floor to confront those responsible for their misfortunes. Along the way, they encounter other survivors and casualties of the virus' destruction. As they climb higher in the building, Derek confronts his former colleagues and superiors who have succumbed to the virus' influence but are still determined to protect themselves from accountability for their actions before time runs out on everyone inside this skyscraper under lockdown until an antidote is found or everyone inside is dead by dawn...whichever comes first!
