What is Man of Will about? 
In 1896, Kim Chang-soo, a young man from Joseon, is imprisoned for murdering a Japanese man he believes was involved in the assassination of Empress Myeongseong. While in prison, Kim teaches fellow inmates and staff how to read and write, earning him popularity and improving their lives. Despite the prison director's animosity towards him, Kim's educational activities continue, and he becomes a symbol of hope and resistance against Japanese oppression. Moments before his scheduled execution, an order from Emperor Gojong arrives, saving Kim's life. Kim and his companions manage to escape from prison, and the corrupt prison director is arrested.
