When single mother and successful author Jenna Thompson takes her children on their annual beach vacation, she hopes to combine work and family time. However, their new neighbor, Lucas McKinnon, a carefree surfer, turns out to be a constant source of distraction. Despite their initial clashes, Jenna and Lucas gradually form a bond, and he even helps her son improve his swimming skills. As the vacation progresses, Jenna must choose between her writing deadline and her growing feelings for Lucas.
