Bauhaus

In 1921, Lotte Brendel, a 20-year-old woman from Weimar, defies her family's expectations by joining a group of young artists and applying to the Bauhaus, a revolutionary art school that seeks to combine arts and crafts and create a new kind of human being. Under the guidance of its visionary leader, Walter Gropius, Lotte finds her place among a group of free-spirited artists and falls in love with a fellow student, Paul Seligmann. As she pursues her passion for art and design, Lotte must confront the societal norms that seek to constrain her and fight for her right to be recognized as an equal.
