In the small town of Bergslagen, Sweden, a group of friends gather at the vicarage for a Christmas Eve celebration. But the festive mood is shattered when a beautiful woman, Barbara Sandell, arrives at the door, distraught and announcing that her husband has gone missing. As the night unfolds, the group discovers that Barbara's husband has been murdered in his country store, and the crime scene is filled with policemen, photographers, and forensic experts.
