The Black Virgin

In a small Caribbean fishing village, the inhabitants' lives are turned upside down by the apparition of aBlack Virgin. She brings both blessings and curses. The village becomes safe from vandals' invasions that had been terrorizing them, and people fall in love. However, strange things begin to happen, and people become sick and die. The townspeople soon realize that the Black Virgin's powers are not limited to good deeds alone. As the town descends into chaos Franklin, a young boy, accidentally breaks the image of the Black Virgin while playing baseball, and the vandals return, killing and destroying everything in their path. The only survivors are left stranded in the middle of the sea. As suddenly as it began, the dawn breaks in the middle of the night, and Lurdita is seen smiling on the shores of the beach, marking an ominous end to the movie, leaving the viewer wondering what will happen next.
