In 1930s Paris, the Grand Guignol Theater's leading lady, Paula Maxa, is famous for her graphic on-stage deaths, but a series of real-life murders has her questioning her own mortality. A journalist, Jean, is tasked with writing a critique of Paula's performances, but he soon finds himself investigating the link between the theater's gruesome plays and the recent murders. As Paula's visions of a deceased girl and a mysterious stalker become more frequent, she and Jean must uncover the truth behind the killings before it's too late. But as they delve deeper into the mystery, they realize that reality may be more twisted than fiction. Will they be able to stop the killer before they become the next victims?
