In the midst of World War II, a young boy named Ferruccio Razzini, fueled by his father's fervent fascist beliefs, joins the fight for the Italian Social Republic. Unbeknownst to him, Mussolini has already met his demise, and Italy is on the brink of liberation. In his diary, Ferruccio chronicles not only his own experiences but also those of his two sisters, one married to a fascist and the other to a communist partisan. Through the lens of his great uncle's diary, the filmmaker embarks on a journey to uncover a hidden chapter in his family's history, striking a delicate balance between comedy and tragedy.
