Savage State

In the midst of the American Civil War, a wealthy French perfume merchant, Edmond, and his family are forced to flee their home in Missouri to escape the conflict. They embark on a perilous journey across the country to reach New York, where they hope to find safety and a way back to France. Victor, a mysterious and dangerous mercenary, is hired to protect them on their journey. As they travel through the war-torn landscape, they must confront their own personal demons and the harsh realities of the war that threatens to tear their family apart.
