Kung Fu Hustle

Kung Fu Hustle is a 2004 Hong Kong-Chinese martial arts comedy film, directed by Stephen Chow, who also stars in the lead role. The movie is set in Shanghai in the 1940s and follows the story of Sing (Chow), a low-level gangster who dreams of becoming a member of the notorious Axe Gang. Sing's attempts to join the gang are initially thwarted, but he soon finds himself caught up in a turf war between the Axe Gang and a group of kung fu masters living in Pig Sty Alley, a slum neighborhood protected by a group of eccentric residents. As Sing navigates this dangerous world, he discovers his own hidden strengths and must choose where his loyalties lie.
