Karbala is is a war drama film that reconstructs the first combat engagement of Polish soldiers since World War II. The film tells the story of a group of Polish and Bulgarian soldiers who are ambushed while on patrol in the city of Karbala during the Iraq War. Led by Lieutenant Colonel Grzegorz Kaliciak, they must fight for their lives against an overwhelming enemy force, with little support or supplies. The battle lasts for several days, resulting in heavy casualties on both sides. Despite being outnumbered and outgunned, the soldiers bravely defend their position, determined to protect the city and its people from the insurgents.
