Kalushi : The Story of Solomon Mahlangu

"Kalushi" tells the story of Solomon Mahlangu, a young man from Mamelodi township who becomes an iconic figure in South Africa's liberation struggle against apartheid. After being brutally beaten by the police, Solomon joins the military wing of the ANC in exile, where he receives training and becomes determined to fight for his people's freedom. Upon his return to South Africa, Solomon and his comrades are tasked with a mission, but things go tragically wrong when his friend Mondy loses control and shoots two innocent people. Solomon is forced to stand trial under the common purpose doctrine, and the state seeks the death penalty. With his back against the wall, Solomon uses the courtroom as a final battlefield, sacrificing his life to become a symbol of resistance and a national hero.
