In the picturesque Dutch countryside, two young men from different worlds meet by chance and ignite a connection that will change their lives forever. Joris, a shy and introverted Dutch man, is struggling to come to terms with the loss of his father, while Yad, a free-spirited Syrian refugee, has returned home to escape the excitement of Amsterdam. Despite their age difference and cultural backgrounds, they form an unlikely bond over their shared passion for music and sports. As they spend more time together, their feelings for each other grow, but their mothers - Simone and Maryam - threaten to jeopardize their relationship. Will they be able to overcome their differences and find love, or will their mothers' disapproval tear them apart?
