Every year in June, Elke, a housewife from Bavaria, visits her family in the GDR. During one of these visits, she meets Gregor, a married carpenter, and they start a passionate affair. As their relationship deepens, they must navigate the challenges of living on opposite sides of the Iron Curtain. With the fall of the Berlin Wall and the collapse of communism, their love is put to the test like never before. Will they choose to be together, or will their lives take different paths? A story of love, loyalty, and difficult choices, set against the backdrop of a changing Europe.
