"Jalsa" is a high-energy, action-packed romantic comedy that follows the story of Sanjay, a young man who falls in love with Indu, but her father, a police officer, disapproves of their relationship. Sanjay's past as a Naxalite rebel is revealed, and he must confront his enemies and protect his loved ones. Along the way, he meets Bhagyamathi, Indu's sister, and they fall in love after a series of hilarious misunderstandings and mishaps. But their love is threatened when Bhagyamathi's father arranges her marriage to another man.
