Iron Island

In the Persian Gulf, a ramshackle oil tanker has become a makeshift home for a community of poor and marginalized people. Under the watchful eye of Captain Nemat, the residents eke out a meager existence, scavenging for scrap metal and oil, and educating their children on board. But as the vessel slowly sinks into disrepair, the community's future hangs in the balance. Can they find a way to save their home and create a better life for themselves, or will they succumb to the harsh realities of their surroundings?
