In 18th century India, twin brothers Pulikesi and Ukraputhan were separated at birth. Pulikesi, the foolish elder brother, becomes a puppet of his uncle, the Chief Minister, while Ukraputhan, the wise younger brother, becomes a patriot intent on saving his land and his brother. from the British. Ukraputhan switches places with an unconscious Pulikesi as king, reveals his true identity, and joins forces with the commander-in-chief to bring about new reforms.
