Imagine That

Imagine That is a heartwarming comedy about a successful financial advisor, Evan Danielson (played by Eddie Murphy), who finds himself in a tight spot when his career begins to decline. Desperate for a solution, he turns to his seven-year-old daughter, Olivia (played by Yara Shahidi), and her imaginary friends for help. Princesses Kupida, Sopida, Mopida, and Queen Qwali, who reside in Olivia's imaginary world, possess the power to predict the future of the financial world. Evan discovers that his daughter's imaginary friends can help him succeed in his career and gains an invaluable upper hand at the office. However, things take a turn when his rival, Johnny Whitefeather (played by Thomas Haden Church), becomes suspicious of Evan's newfound success and begins to search for his secret. As Evan continues to use the Goo-Gaa blanket and meet with the princesses to gain insight into the financial world, he rediscovers his inner child and has fun playing imaginary games with Olivia. But when Whitefeather learns about the Goo-Gaa, he pays a hefty sum for one and orders his son to tell him the future. The competition between Evan and Whitefeather heats up as they vie for the position of head of the Western division of their company D.D.E. With the help of the imaginary princesses and the magical Goo-Gaa blanket; Evan must choose between his career and his relationship with his daughter while learning valuable lessons about family, success, creativity; and imagination.
