The House

The Johansens are a married couple who have saved up for their daughter's college education, but when they find out that the scholarship program they were relying on has been discontinued in favor of building a community pool, they are left with no choice but to find alternative means to fund her education. They try various methods such as asking for a loan, a salary raise for Scott, and getting Kate's job back but are met with rejection at every turn. In a last-ditch effort, they reluctantly agree to accompany their friend and neighbor Frank Theodorakis, whose wife is divorcing him due to his gambling and porn addiction issues, on a previously-planned trip to a casino. There, they decideto take matters into their own hands by starting their own illegal casino in Frank's basement in order to make up for the lost scholarship money. As they navigate the world of illegal gambling, the couple's relationship and morals are put to the test while they try to keep their operation running without getting caught by the authorities.
