Hondo

Hondo Lane (John Wayne), a cavalry scout, discovers a woman named Angie Lowe (Geraldine Page) and her son Johnny living alone on a ranch in hostile Apache territory. As he helps them repair their farm and protects them from the Indians, Hondo becomes a father figure to Johnny and develops feelings for Angie. However, Angie's husband is missing, and she refuses to leave the ranch, despite the danger. Hondo must confront the Apaches and convince Angie to seek safety with him at the Army fort.
