Lasse Hallström’s greatest strength as a director is deep humanity, with compassion for even the most flawed characters. The affection from all three family members for af Klint and for creating art shines through the film.

...som pusselbit i den pågående uppvärderingen av Hilma af Klint, som till och med fått snart sagt varenda kvinnlig nittiotalist att hänga upp en rosaskimrande affisch på väggen, lyckas den ändå förmedla en fin känsla av förundran.
