With a video-game aesthetic, the movie pulls you in with its striking cinematography and then repeatedly punches you in the face with its adrenaline-fueled action.

...brimming with both complex, ultra-violent action sequences and an impressively grimy aesthetic – giving the film a weight and texture that instantly sets it apart from the bulk of made-for-streaming action fare.

It’s a thoroughly mediocre experience overall that occasionally morphs without warning into the most exciting and creatively staged movie of the year.
