Frequently asked questions

What is Havoc about? Toggle content

In the wealthy suburbs of Los Angeles, a group of bored and sheltered teenagers, led by the beautiful and rebellious Allison, set out to explore the dangerous and exciting world of the "gangsta" lifestyle. They encounter a real gang of Latino drug dealers, led by the ruthless Hector, and are drawn into a world of sex, drugs, and violence. As they become more and more embroiled in the gang's activities, they begin to realize that their play-acting has consequences and that they are in over their heads. When a night of partying and drinking leads to a brutal rape, the girls are forced to confront the harsh realities of the world they have entered. The film is a cautionary tale about the dangers of glamorizing gang culture and the importance of recognizing the limits of privilege and entitlement.
