Inspired by a true story, this movie follows the rise and fall of Gwen Shamblin, a charismatic figure who founded a Christian diet program called "Weigh Down Workshop." With her captivating persona and unconventional approach to weight loss, Gwen gains a loyal following and accumulates wealth and power. But as her influence grows, so do accusations of exploitation and cult-like practices within her church. Tragedy strikes when Gwen's husband, who is piloting their private plane, crashes, killing Gwen, her husband, their grandson, and four other members of the church.
