Gone in 60 Seconds follows Maindrian Pace, a respected insurance investigator with a secret life as a professional car thief. When a South American drug lord offers him a lucrative deal to steal 48 specific vehicles, Pace and his team set out to fulfill the order. However, things get complicated when they encounter difficulties stealing a yellow 1973 Ford Mustang, codenamed "Eleanor," and discover that one of the vehicles contains several kilograms of heroin. Pace's decision to return the heroin-filled car leads to a confrontation with his brother-in-law and a dangerous police chase through six California cities.
