The Girls

"The Girls" is a 1968 film that follows three actresses on tour with a theater production about women and war. Liz, Marianne, and Gunilla find parallels between their personal lives and the drama onstage as they face challenges leaving their homes and dealing with men who don't understand the play's message. Despite indifferent audiences and hostile men, the women continue to perform and find solidarity in their shared experiences. As they return home, they feel a sense of awareness and purpose, with Liz declaring her intention to get a divorce.
