Felon

Wade Porter (played by Stephen Dorff), a devoted family man and blue-collar worker, has his life turned upside down when he accidentally kills a burglar who broke into his home. Convicted of involuntary manslaughter and sentenced to three years in a maximum-security prison, Wade must navigate a violent and corrupt system where the rule of law doesn't apply. Forced to share a cell with a notorious serial killer (Val Kilmer) and subjected to brutal beatings by the sadistic head of the prison guards (Harold Perrineau, Jr.), Wade must fight for his life and become the toughest inmate in the prison in order to survive. But as he struggles to stay alive, Wade realizes that the line between good and evil is thin, and that the only way to truly survive is to hold on to his humanity.
