Fear of Rain

Fear of Rain is a psychological thriller that follows the story of Rain, a 17-year-old girl suffering from early-onset schizophrenia. After being admitted to a hospital following a psychotic episode, Rain returns home to her supportive mother and father, but struggles to adjust to her new life. She begins to suspect that her neighbor, Ms McConnell, has kidnapped a child and is holding her captive in her attic. Despite her parents' efforts to help her live a normal life, Rain becomes increasingly paranoid and convinced that she must save the child. She enlists the help of Caleb, a new boy she meets at school, but their attempts to uncover the truth are thwarted at every turn. As Rain's hallucinations become more intense and terrifying, she begins to question whether Caleb is real or just a figment of her imagination. The film takes a shocking turn when it's revealed that Rain's mother died three years ago and has been nothing more than an hallucination in Rain's mind all along. Hysterical and desperate for answers, Rain breaks into Ms McConnell's home again and finally discovers the truth about the missing child. In the end, Rain must confront her own demons and confront the reality of her mental illness in order to uncover the truth and find peace. With strong performances from Madison Iseman as Rain and Katherine Heigl as Michelle , Fear of rain is an intense thriller that explores themes of mental illness ,paranoia ,and hallucinations .
