Fahrenheit 451

In a dystopian future, the government has outlawed books and employs "firemen" to burn any discovered. Guy Montag, a fireman, begins to question his role after meeting a young woman who introduces him to the world of literature. He starts to read the books he's supposed to burn, leading to conflict with his wife and the authorities. Montag eventually joins a group of rebels who memorize books to preserve them for future generations, defying the government's attempts to control people's thoughts and emotions through media and propaganda.
