Endgame

Endgame is a comedy-crime movie about a world-class hitman who swaps identities with a down-on-his-luck extra actor after an accident. The hitman, known as Mr. Z, is played by Andy Lau, while the actor, Chen Xiaomeng, is played by Xiao Yang. The movie follows their journey as they navigate their new lives and the consequences of their actions. The movie starts with Mr. Z killing a man in a parking lot, but the twist is that the man is not who he seems to be. Chen Xiaomeng, who is struggling to make a living as an actor, witnesses the murder and decides to switch places with the comatose man. He takes on Mr. Z's identity and luxurious lifestyle, while Mr. Z becomes the extra actor. As Chen Xiaomeng navigates his new life as Mr. Z, he discovers that being a hitman is not all it's cracked up to be. He gets caught up in a web of lies and deceit as he tries to complete his missions while also struggling with his own moral compass. Meanwhile, Mr. Z, who has taken on Chen Xiaomeng's identity, tries to make a name for himself in the film industry but finds it difficult to shake off his past. The movie takes a dramatic turn when Mr. Z's employer discovers that he has lost his memory and starts to question his loyalty. Chen Xiaomeng becomes entangled in a complicated web of relationships as he tries to protect himself and those around him from the dangerous world of hitmen. The movie culminates in an action-packed climax as Chen Xiaomeng confronts Mr. Z and the truth about their identities comes to light.
