...as a reminder of the banality of evil and the way a country can conveniently “forget” its casual barbarity (did someone say Guantánamo Bay?), Labyrinth of Lies is a more chilling tale than you’ll find in any horror film this season.

In post-war Germany, a young and ambitious prosecutor named Johann Radmann uncovers a vast conspiracy to cover up the Nazi pasts of prominent public figures. Against the will of his superiors and the pressure of his peers, Radmann doggedly pursues justice and delves deeper into the labyrinthine web of lies, exposing the complicity of those who seek to forget the atrocities committed during World War II. As he navigates this dangerous new world, he must confront his own demons and question everything he thought he knew about his country's history. Will Radmann be able to bring justice to those who have evaded it for so long? Will his quest for truth ultimately prove too dangerous for him?
