"Empties" is a heartwarming comedy about a retired teacher who finds new purpose in life by working at a supermarket bottle return counter.Josef, played by Zdeněk Svěrák, may have retired from teaching, but he's not ready to slow down. He takes on a job at a local supermarket, where he not only collects empty bottles but also becomes a matchmaker for his customers. His wife, Eliška, played by Daniela Kolářová, is initially skeptical, but Josef's newfound passion for life soon reignites their marriage. With the help of his friend Landa (Jiří Macháček), Josef's love story blossoms in this hilarious and touching tale of old age.
