Effie Gray

Based on true events, "Effie Gray" tells the story of a young woman trapped in a loveless marriage with Victorian art critic John Ruskin. Neglected and belittled by her husband, Effie finds solace in the company of artist John Everett Millais, with whom she falls in love. However, male-dominated society and the rigid rules of Victorian England stand in the way of their relationship. Effie must make a choice between following her heart and living a life of oppression. Will she find the courage to defy societal norms and pursue happiness?
