In ancient China, a powerful martial artist and his detective friend must face their troubled pasts and confront a ruthless criminal organization in this gripping action-thriller. After a brutal fight with two robbers, Liu Jinxi (Donnie Yen), a reformed assassin, becomes the prime suspect of a tenacious detective named Xu Baijiu (Takeshi Kaneshiro). As Xu investigates, he discovers Liu's true identity as Tang Long, a skilled warrior and second-in-command of the 72 Demons, an infamous group of killers. Despite Xu's suspicions, Liu claims to have renounced his violent ways and is living a peaceful life with his family. As tensions rise, the Master of the 72 Demons learns about Liu's whereabouts and sends henchmen to capture him and destroy the village where he lives. In a thrilling series of battles, Liu must fight to protect his family and prove his innocence while facing off against formidable foes and confronting his own dark past.
